Before: Old, forgotten and in desperate need of some TLC
Look up close and you can see that it really is quite an interesting design. There is yet hope!
After a hose down to wash off the spiders with accompanying spiderwebs, moths, dirt and dust. Then a little gold spray paint I had lying around (I used the gold paint for my Elizabeth Taylor inspired Cleopatra halloween costume, pics coming soon).
Happy lampshades! I painted the twin lampshade a bright, happy yellow a couple of weeks ago.

Find something old and ugly, slap a coat or two of spray paint and voila!
New and improved and really quite beautiful.
